美国历史学会（AHA）成立于1884年，1889年被国会授予特许经营权，以服务于整个历史学科。《美国历史评论》（AHR）与AHA的使命一致，自1895年以来一直是美国历史的专业性杂志。这是唯一将各个历史研究领域的学术文章汇集出版的刊物。 该期刊每年出版约一千本书评，于每年二月、四月、六月、十月和十二月发行，致力于传播当代历史研究成果。

本期的主要内容是对“反犹太主义的重新思考”。在引言中，Jonathan Judaken调查了关于反犹太主义的理论和争论。他对阻碍这一领域发展的因素提出了三个方面的观察。首先，它缺乏对其核心概念和术语的一致定义。其次，反犹主义如何与伊斯兰恐惧症、反黑人种族主义和其他形式的压迫相比较的问题还没有解决。第三，反犹太主义的分期仍然模糊不清。他特别强调并反驳了永恒主义和目的论叙事，主张独特性并为其辩护。
